Perenco UK Ltd (PUK), a major North Sea gas operator, partnered with Shawcity to trial Blackline Safety EXO8 and G7C detectors offshore.
Already using fixed gas detection across its infrastructure, PUK explored the potential for 4G-enabled remote monitoring on offshore assets. The trial confirmed reliable connectivity, strong battery performance, and effective remote alarm functionality.
The results highlighted a clear opportunity to support monitoring on normally unattended installations (NUIs), particularly during decommissioning.
