Shawcity Announces New Channel Partnership with Bacharach

Shawcity Limited, a leading UK distributor of workplace gas detection solutions, is pleased to announce a new channel manufacturer partnership for the Bacharach line of leak detection products from MSA Safety.

This agreement builds on Shawcity’s recent collaboration with MSA Safety, announced in January 2026, and further broadens its specialist portfolio to include gas and refrigerant leak detection, enabling growth into the HVAC-R market.

Established in 1976, Shawcity is recognised as a leading provider of fixed gas and flame detection systems. Its success is built on close partnerships with global manufacturers including Analox, Crowcon, GDS Technologies, Ion Science, MSA, Sensitron and Uniphos.

The decision to integrate refrigerant leak detection stems from the strong heritage of the Bacharach brand. Bacharach was founded in Pittsburgh in 1909 and was built on more than a century of expertise in gas measurement and monitoring, offering a comprehensive range of portable and fixed instruments. The company was acquired by MSA Safety in 2021.
